Was replacing capacitors and noticed a blown out leg on this 8 pin chip. Anyone know where I can get the correct replacement? I looked online and found 8 pin chips but not sure if I need a specific one with certain specs.

Looks like Texas Instruments 8-pin IC 190S06

I’ll have to look up the specs later on to see if there are modern equivalents

Anyone find a source or info on these, can't find them anywhere. 190S02 is common in truck ecu's but not sure if specs are compatible, though can still find stock of those

It appears it's a custom TI part number, which means would have to find a spec sheet somehow and it's possible there is no commercially available replacement.

190S06 TI DIP8 IC from an A9P Mustang - Amplifiers forum - Amplifiers - TI E2E support forums

Good morning, Could you help me find a replacement part for a legacy 190S06 DIP8 Integrated Circuit from Texas Instruments? I haven't been able to find the
e2e.ti.com

I sent an inquiry a while back to TI but haven't heard anything back. I'll ping them again

From what I can find its voltage regulator. 06 is TI sourced. 02 is Motorola. You can find the 190S06 but some dodgy ass non us sites. Motorola much easier to find just can't find data sheet. Guessing 6v max output voltage regulator for fords 5v reference signal so might work. Have to find a cheap burned up one to try.

Seeing more of these fail being posted online.

Looks like ford shopped multiple vendors. Some are Motorola, and some are Texas Instruments (post #2)

Let me see if Motorola has any info.

First let me say, that's a pretty fair cost for the repair.
But even if the computer passes the tests they should know what the common failure points are and just fix them.
I deal with a lot of circuit boards for other hobbies and pretty much all of them can get some preventive maintenance.
At a minimum the caps should be replaced. But i'm sure they know other issues they can stop before they happen.
If i were to send one there, just bill me the whole $150 and do the caps.

Somewhere around here, there is a feedback thread for this service. I couldn't find it.

If anybody see it, post a link here.

IIRC, it had pictures. Everything was shiny new looking.

Looked at the pics in that post a little closer, Its a reman. with a board swap not from a mustang, I know what its from but with flippers asking dumb money and hoarding ecu's rather not list what cars have them in a thread. I've seen that board used on few reman a9l/ a9p parts numbers before from both cardone and bse.

Here's one from bse with there em073 a9l part number. Look by the heat sinks, notice the extra components by the cap.
