?? about 3rd brake light on LX spoiler

So I wanna spray tint my third brake light lense to match my taillight covers for an upcoming car show but I'm having a bit of a problem. I can't get the lense off of the housing! Is there an easy way to do this or do I just have to start prying and hope I dont break stuff?

On a side note, if worse comes to worse, I will just spray the outside of the lense (but I really don't wanna do that )....has anyone sprayed the outside of a lense with spray tint and gotten decent results?
