about 500 bux to spend weeee

ok, i found this 65 stang (289 eith edelbrock intake) and gonna have about 500 to put into it. i already planned on interior and thats out of the way so i willhave about 500 to play with. what should i do/buy?

Check your front & rear suspensions... they more than likely need some attention. $500 will get you new springs & shocks, front & rear. You might even have some change left over for ball joints, bushings, and steering components, if you're doing the work yourself.

I agree with that advice, but it will be tough to change all that for $500. If you price it out & run out of cash, I'd try to concentrate on the front end first, especially if it's got P.S.

Is everybody forgetting the brakes. Maybe a disc brake set up off a 70 might in order also if it hasnt been done already.

Hows the cooling? New radiator & fan and you'd have a little left over for beer.

all good advice, but i would say fix what is worst wrong about the car. make sure it is in safe running order before you do anything else. if brakes need doing then brakes, if suspension the do that. make sure you wont kill yourself in the car before going any further.

If it isn't all wheel drum, he could save some bucks & just do a regular brake-job to get by for now.
