Well things are getting interesting for my stang. I've been enrolled at auto tech classes at saddleback college to become a certified ASE engine tech.
Right now I'm in "high performance engine blueprinting" I'll be pulling the motor next week and rebuilding it over the next four months. I bought a suburban for a tow rig. I'll be ordering FMS-M-6013-B347

* M-6303-B340 nodular cast iron crankshaft 3.40 in. stroke
* KB flat top pistons with reliefs for Windsor head
* Federal Mogul high performance rod and main bearings
* Grant piston rings
* Fits 1983-00 302 blocks with one-piece rear seal
* Requires machining and balancing, designed for 28.2 in./oz. external balance factor
* Rod length 5.400 in.

Here are my Q's.....
Will my crap e6's work untill I can scour the junkyard and come up with e7's?
I want afr's but i don't have the cash.
The car is finally, really track only, that's why I got the suburban.
I need a cam. What would you guys recomend? (e6's can take, what .500" lift right?) So it'll need to work if I cant get good heads by the time I'm done building it.
Any good combos you guys like? I think a 347 with all the parts I got on my current block right now + a little n20 should be good for atleast mid 11's...But I want real N/A power.....
What size injectors?
1.7 RR's?
What am I lookin' at 375hp/425tq? Remember, it will be all balanced and blueprinted.
What am I forgetting.....First rebuild and I want to do it right!
Thanks for any tips.

If you're gonna use stock junk heads, then use a stock intake and stock cam. Then save up cash for real parts and do it all at once. No sense throwing in a cam for horrific E6 heads. You'd also need valve springs and stuff. Not worth it. Use stock junk until you can afford good stuff!

Well I already have the trickflow intake, and the other parts in my sig. How do you identify e6's from e7's by the casting #'s?
