:( I have a 2001 gt convertible and I have cleaned up a ABS wheel sensor that was covered with axle oil and dirt. I tested it and it is OK, soar the other 3. Now I need to turn off teh ABS light to see if the problem was solved. my engine obd2 scanner does not do brakes.

I tried unplugging the battery for 2 hours and unplugging the ABS computer to no success.

Please help.

droive it 600 miles already

Since I drive a lot for work, I already put 600+ miles on it,

any idea of how many miles for it to reset?

I have a feeling that I need to buy a scanner for the abs.

btw if the module is bad, do I have to replace the whole abs unit in front of the engine? or just the electrical part?

If the ABS system has no faults the light should turn off after it's 5 second prove-out. There is still a problem with your ABS system.

The module can be replaced alone but has to be reprogrammed by Ford. At this point you really aren't sure what the problem is so I wouldn't go buying any parts until you know what the root cause is.

This may be time for a visit to a reputable Ford dealer.
