This is actually a very simple question. I have the ABS light on when driving and even after clearing the codes a few times. After reading a few threads it seems pretty common that the ABS modules fail, so have decided to send my module in for repair to module masters. The question I have is; is it possible to drive the car with the module removed or will there be additional issues?

Thanks in advance,

I assume that you have done the trouble shooting needed to rule out a wheel sensor problem?

Also assume that you have confirmed all fuses are good.

As to your original question, I don't see any problems. ABS was an option on many models. I sure you realize that the ABS warning light will be on but that is expected.

Pull the ABS fuse to disable the module and take it for a ride around the block. This will have the same effect on the car that removing it would. I've heard of many people disabling the ABS (because they didn't like it) and none have reported problems.

How did your experience with Module Masters go? I am getting ready to ship mine in so I am looking to see what type of feedback you have.

My light kicks on randomly. If I have my scanner hooked up, it will show disconnected as soon as the ABS light comes on so if the connector looks fine I will need to ship it off. I would also like to know what kind of realistic turn around time they have so I know whether a 6 day weekend is long enough or if I should wait for a long time.
