Abs?

Did all 1996 GT's have to come with ABS? The reason I ask is because I can't find any sensors around my wheels for it.
Does this mean I could lock up the brakes fairly easily or do the stock brakes have enough power?

I have a '98 GT with no ABS, I think it became standard in the 99+ body style.

I haven't had any problems stopping with the stock brakes, havent had them lock up on me except in the rain.

Technicly ABS is not intended to make you stop faster. It was designed to allow you to steer in an emergency braking situation. Although it may stop you in a shorter distance in a given situation it was intended to give the driver more control of the vehicle during emergency situations.
