My Ac compression pump clutch and pulley keeps on going out it starts out as a screeching sound above 3000 rpm then it goes to a continious screech. Why does this keep happening it cost 200 bucks every time it goes im on #2 plz help someone
you said this is your second ac pump, when you made the swap did you add new ac oil ? having enough oil in the unit is more important that the freon or 134a........... are the ac units rebuilt or from the junk yard ? just re-did a 1990 put 4 oz of oil and then charged got it down to 49 degrees at about 2500rpm and thats about as cold as they can get......................... Sry my post i did was wrong info the puump clutch and pully keeps getting burnt out i took it in today and they said it was the tensioner pulley and the idler pulley . They changed it out and when i got home it was still making the same noise . It was the pully again. So when i take it in tommorow they will fix the pully and better refound me my 120 bucks from changing out the stuff from today . They changed that crap and it did not even have to be replaced will they refound me my money?
