My recently aquired 94 LX has factory air and everything is still there. The system lost enough R12 that it no longer comes on. However, I pricked the valve and there is still some pressure in the system so I have hope.
I'm planning on replacing the dryer and attempting a recharge with 134. While I'm at it, are there typical places that leaks develop on these cars? Are there some o-rings or other things I should go ahead and replace while I'm at it?
Also, can I bypass the low pressure switch before I begin all this? My goal would be to energize the compressor momentarily just to see that it at least comes on and sounds normal before I delve into things further.
