AC delete bracket

I am going to remove my ac system and I am not sure what ac delete bracket to use

Its down to these two I think. One is the standard dorman I can get anywhere. The billet one is on ebay, any good or bad on this piece

instead of using a pulley I would go with the Ford a/c delete kit. It is a factory delete that is used on the non-a/c cars and relocates the P/S pump into the same position has the non a/c cars for a cleaner look and you would just use the same belt for non a/c cars. I did this when I removed my a/c, the install is very easy and one less pulley to worry about failing.

Go with the delete kit. Both of those pulleys look like they will burn through some bearings.

The only people who are suckered into buying "dummy" pulleys when they remove the smog pump or AC compressor are people who are too lazy to figure out a new belt size.

Do it the right way and install the AC delete kit, take a piece of wire and route it around the pulleys to get a belt measurement, then go to the parts store and get a new belt.... a very simple, clean and proper way to do a delete.

Or if you're like me, you're planning on going back to AC one day and just want that ugly compressor off until then.

I know I'm in the minority, but I don't like the PS pump up there with that 6" dipstick tube sticking up like a smokestack.

To the OP, I'm running the one in the top pic, and it's been fine for over a year now. So far, so good.

actually I plan on losing the PS pump too, I am going to a manual rack later, this car will have 3.5" skinnies up front. A local mustang club member is using the ford kit I really do not like the PS pump that high. In a year or two I may move this car registration to NM where I will not hit by smog checks and remove the smog pump too.

Just get the March P/S bracket then. I don't care for the P/S pump all up on top of the engine either.

Can't get any cleaner or more symmetrical than the stock factory set up.

I just installed a delete bracket and pulley like you have in your top picture, I do plan on going back with AC at some point so I just opted for this option....I do like the factory AC delete look though iF you plan on doing away with AC for good this would be the way to go

I'd prefer not to have to see that ugly P/S tube sticking up. It's just a preference. The truth is the Ford engine with a factory style upper intake is about as butt ugly as they get.

The Chevy is a much better looking engine.

I've been running the top one from ASP for years with no issues.

I'm also in the "no ugly power steering pump up top" camp.

Go with the March or Trick Flow bracket. It will also work when you remove the power steering.

The Trick Flow is the same as the March, but cheaper, here's a link to Summit:
