i'd recommend one for use with R-12 even though it is way more expensive it cools so much better than 134a especially with a little bitty condensor and evaporator like and underdash unit for a 65-66 stang.

I would agree with bnickel on the R-12. I converted my 91 GT back in 2000 to 134a, and it just didn't do as good of a job as the the R-12. So the choice is yours...
...Be earth friendly and use 134a or be cool and use R-12.

ya know tree huggers are setting civilization back 100's of years. some of the stuff they do is just ridiculous. for instance, when i lived in Austin they were needing to build a new road across the Lake Travis because the dam was literally disentigrating under the road the proposed location was across the existing low water crossing but they were going to build a bridge with 2 lanes each way to take the stress of the dam. the tree huggers threw a fit because there was some damn bird that happened to live right there so the process was delayed for over 5 years while they had to sort the bird thing out and realocate the stupid birds down stream about 500 yards. in the meantime the dam kept deteriorating and was on the verge of being comdemned because it was in such bad shape. now, let me ask you, would it be better to let the bird relocate themselves or be wiped out by BILLIIONS of gallons of water rushing down on them?
