Here is the deal. Got my car back from ford last week after they had to replace a cylinder head. I threw a plug, they said it was common but I think it was they did a poor job changing my plugs last month and were just covering their a$$.

Anyway, now when I try to accelerate and I am under 2000RPM, for example going 55 at around 1500 RPMS and push the gas any more then a little bit, the car seems to sputter and almost buck. Feels like its just trying too hard to speed up. If I push the gas only a little bit then it seems to be alright, its only when I try to give it a lot of gas.

I recently added the CAI and MAC Cat back, which I know reduces back pressure and causing loss of low end torque. Could this be causing the supperting when excelerating under 2000RPM?

My car was doing the same thing after i washed the engine down. It took a couple of days to completely dry. After that it stopped.

Sounds like you had gotten moisture into a coil pack

It has been raining for the past 4 days here, maybe the water is getting to my CAI somehow and causing this?

If it does not clear up I am bringing it to a different ford dealer and see what they say.

Ok, this problem is getting worse.

I filled up at a new gas station today to see if I had some bad gas, and then took it out for a little run.

I started in 2nd at about 2K and floored it. It started to go, and then at about 3K it seemed to have a jump in power, and then again at like 4.5K.

I am also starting to have more chugging / sputtering then I used to.

I still don't have any CEL's, nor do I have a programmer to see if I am throwing any codes. I think I am starting to get raped by my dealer so I am going to try another.

Anyone have any ideas before I have to open my checkbook to ford.
