Accufab - no throttle body for our years?

Im using a BBk 75mm throttle body. Also make sure you use the TFS elbow because that one is 75mm and matches the Tbody.

Thanks I mostly likely will go with a 75...what mass air would I need? I have a stock 70mm in there.

Do you have a tuner of anykind? If you do/plan too I would rec. looking at some of the 4.6 mafs the gt/cobra 80mm units flow a great amount and not only CHEAP but most 4.6 cobra 80mm units are good to like 400rwhp. I have just swaped to a 98 gt/cobra 80mm maf that I got for like 40-ish IIRC.

a 70 or 75 would be a great t-body.

How much would going from my stock 60mm to a 70mm or 75mm net me in hp/tq?? If I stick with my 60mm TB for now would it be likely to say I would have driveability issues? In the future when money is better I'll get the 70-75mm TB and Mass air at the same time. Right now I want the motor assembled.

I do not have a tuner, if needed (probably) I will get it dyno tuned. But thats in a couple months.

You bastard. Where did you gat a transfer function for it? I had a 80mm C&L maf (with a blue tube) for a 1996 GT on my car for a long time and I could never get anyone to give me a transfer function for it. I had to figure one out myself, but I have (had) no idea if it was close or not.

Heck I'll sell it to someone it they want it.

BTW, IIRC, I paid like $200 for it new 3 years ago when they came out. :bang:

The stock maf that is what I am useing, a stock 1998 gt/cobra 80mm meter. I got that transfer from the tweecer when I loaded up the 98gt file and just coped it.
that implies that the maf electronics are the same between the different years. ie, the 94/95 maf sensor generates the same voltage for a given airflow as a 96-98 maf sensor does. do you know that is the case for sure? i was never able to find out for sure if they were the same or not.

Wait but stock 96-98 GT MAFs are still made for 19# injectors so they would probably peg out early just like ours do. I dont really see the point of it. You have the transfer though. Do they have more available voltage and kg/hr than ours?

 maybe cause it's a cobra maf? i thought 96-98 mafs were not 80mm ...

blksn955.0, have you actually run the car with this new maf? i'd love to see a datalog from it

YEah im sure a cobra one will have more kg/hr capacity than a GT i guess ill just fire up the laptop when i get home from work and check.

FYI Accufab did make a few 65mm TB's for '94s and 95s, but stopped production on them because they "weren't effective". Of course that was before the wealth of aftermarket intake choices....

I got the info from Accufab, I called them to confirm that the used one I bought over the 'net was the real thing, and yes it was. Very nice piece...
