good for you. me too eventually. accufab makes a 90 degree elbow for adapting square bore carb flange to fuel injection. maybe crank fired ignition and 750 or 850 cfm 4 barrel will work. who knows.

You will need a crank trigger. run a msd ignition and get rid of the factory computer control.
The way that modulars flow, A carb setup like you described should show very positive numbers with a carb setup. I plan on a couple of stges of gas on top of it.

I guess this thread has been officially hijacked..........

Based on the dyno results, the Accufab had the best numbers overall.

Yea your right, it has been jacked...ok forget all the carb stuff LOL. If its 10 bucks then get it...heck why not do some back to back dyno pulls to see what the difference is. i would be interested.

there was a dyno test with the spacer and stock plenum a couple of years ago, it showed that you were the same or lost power. With cams and better internals, if you spin more rpms, you may see better results.

Really? Wonder what it would do with an aftermarket one. I have cams too. But it seems usually that cams and more mods just amplify results and if it lost power it may not do anything . the concept is there but its funny how that crap goes out the window on the dyno or at the track. BTW sorry for the dissagreement, you apparently know your stuff pretty well (as does billfish)...we just have different opinions...but I think we agree that carb wouldnt be idea for a DD GT. I like a good debate..gets the brain juices flowing lol.

the spacer can change the rpm that you make a specific amount of power, that is why I said maybe with cams and internal mods. An engine that can spin to 7000+ and still be pulling may see better gains. Most of the bolt on mods are adapted from the 5.0 engines. A lot of the same bolt on power mods do not apply in the modulars.
I learn something new everyday on Mustang sites.
BTW, I have a spacer if you want to try one. PM me.

Great....looks like I commented and everyone went off into speech land lol.

Seriously though, thanks for all the information on the intake Forpit. Thats a bit expensive for what little power its probably going to make. I think I'll wait and see if I can't find a better deal on something or see what other companies are comming out with.

As for the intake spacer, I've already commented earlier in this thread. Starkie did a dyno test with his and seen some nice gains in power in really high rpms. Never noticed any loss in power anywhere either. I'm imagining if you have cams and/or headwork, the benefits would be even better.
