I was thinking about getting an Accufab plenum, and was wondering if the C&L inlet pipe was worth anything. The C&L piece looks very nice, and has a nitrous boss if I want to run nitrous.
http://www.cnlperformance.com/inlet.html

Does anyone have any experience with the C&L piece?
Any performance gain?
Is it worth the price?

Also, where is the best place to buy each of these pieces. I see that Modular Depot carries the Accufab plenum, but are there any places to get it cheaper? Where can you get teh C&L at?

Thanks

Yep, the boss is nice for piping the juice in, and it looks good, but I don't think there is any great, measureable advantage over any other inlet pipe. I just bought it with the C&L MAF (mistake!) and I liked its size (it a big pipe) and just generally how it looks. I got the one on my 02 from www.mustangwarehouse.com, the one on my wife's 01 from WaterDR on modulardepot (slightly used).
Here's a pic of my 02 (note, again, that C&L MAF is now gone).

419 for accufab TB and Plenum, lowest price I found so far, thats where I got mine.

I dunno if that pipe fits the 75mm one thats what I'm looking for now.

Hey, there is my intake!

I had it on my car. Works fine. As Chris said, the hp gains are very minor. I sold it, because I went with a Steeda CAI and the Steed unit comes with it's own pipe. I now have nitrous too BTW.

I did get some rubbing with the C&L Pipe which made some noise under the hood at WOT. But, I have never heard of this from anyone else. I stuck a piece of cloth under the intake so it could not touch.

Naw, that's mine...though Tammy's looks nearly identical.
I don't have any rubbing issue with either car's pipe. (did ya bust a motor mount there Blake? )

Oh yeah, no problem - it's a big pipe and will actually fit the 75mm better than the 70mm (not that there's a problem with fitting it to a 70mm, it just compresses the blue hose quite a bit). It also works on the OEM TB with their supplied hose adapter-a small piece of slightly smaller hose that fits onto the OEM TB, then the blue hose fits over that and the whole thing is clamped together. It's a nice, quality kit.

If I'm not going to run N2O for a while or ever is that thing worth it? 180 for just a pipe and 3hp doesnt seem like too good a deal, while I would like it to spruce up the engine bay, it doesnt appear polished...? And thanks for answering that it fits
