I had the Accufab Plenum installed on my 97 GT and took if off to put it on the 99. The question I have is what is the best/safest way to get the inlet pipe that I had to hammer into the plenum off so I can put the other pipe that fits the 99 on?

When you say "the inlet pipe you had to hammer", what exactly are you talking about here ? The EGR ? IAC ?

Not sure of the name, but the Accufab Plenum comes with two different pipes, you attach the one that fits for your year mustang. The 97 used the smaller adapter and the 99 uses the larger. Its a pipe that is sticking out the front of the plenum next to the IAC.

If it's sticking out next to the IAC, I believe I know the pipe your talking about. I don't see why you'de have to "hammer" it though. A picture would do wonders here if you have one.

its the pipe sticking out on the far right...there are 2 sizes.

The instructions from accufab have you hammer the piece into place and use locktight. Now I have to take that piece out to put the other one in...

So, you hammered it into place and now you're wondering whats the safest way to remove it. Hmmmm. Well, have you tried wraping a rag around it and then using a pair of pliars ?
