alright quick question guys, i have an 86 lx, and when i bought the car amost a year ago the power door locks never worked, i think it was because the actuators are broken or damaged, i was wondering if actuators from an escort would fit a mustang , or if not would pick n pull be my best bet? also i was wondering if you guys knew how to make it so the remote for my alarm could open the door locks i am pretty sure there is a solenoid there and everything just i dont know how to make it so the actuator works with the alarm to unlock the doors
any help would be very greatly appreciated
thank you
jerry

Follow this link to fix your door lock actuator problems http://jrichker.stangnet.com/Mustang_tech/door_actuator_fix/1_of_8_door_actuator.htm

Stuck with door lock actuators that don't work and don't want to pay the $50+ for a new one? Tried the junkyard ones and found that they last six months and freeze up?

A new actuator for less than $4. Fix one side for $17, do both sides for only $23. I don't sell parts, I don’t make any money off of the upgrade, I just tell you how to do it cheaply and easily.

thats all you need, there's no need to buy the ford units that are like 50 bux each thats a rip off. these comes with everything you need, just splice them into the door lock switch and mount the actuator to the door and your done.

Is that all you need hardware wise to fix the locks??? I thought it cost about $50 in parts?

Follow the link in my previous post - it uses the $3.85 actuators and gives you complete install directions.
