Hey just noticed that the car i bought doesn't have holes in the front for a plate. It was from Jersey where you don't need one, but here in NY you do. Really not excited about drilling into the bumper, anyone ever done this before?

just make sure you have it centered where you want it, and straight. then put in some self tapping screws.

are they really strict about it in ny? i havent run front plates on my cars and i havent heard anything in wa. just throw the plate in your front window for the time being and see how it goes.

On my 04, there were small dimples on the front bumper. Poke them with the screws and go to town.

I wouldn't recommend placing your license plate on the dash. In case of a collision, that thing will be flying around inside your car.

I have'nt had a front plate on my Mach since I bought it 1 1/2 years ago. The cop shop is right down the street from me. They don't even look twice. I think their too busy doing this:

I would say keep it in the car until you get caught. Then produce it for the officer and say you are on the way to the dealer to get it installed. Repeat as necessary.

Jersey definately requires a front tag
we use self tapping screws at our dealership...its very easy. Just line it up and screw in.
