Dude, I'm in the same shoes you are. I just payed ford $$$ to paint my scoop. They want to charge me even more $$$ just to install it. I just said paint my $hit and I'll figure a way to install it myself or pay someone cheaper. I just it back today. They did a good job. But there are swirls WTF Over? They said a coat of wax after 30 days will take care of that.

I've tried searching the net and come up with nothing. If anyone with a 99-00 GT or perhaps 99-2003 V6 that have installed the 01-04 GT hood scoop, please chime in and tell us how you did it. Thanks.

if someone can help us out that would be great. i have a friend that installed one on his v6 and he said he would do it for 60 but would tell me how. (what a friend ha) he also said it took a special tool i dont think it needs any tools except a drill and the socket for the nuts. if you have any info please post.

ok i installed the scoop looks great but the only thing is the bolts i had wouldnt fit right they fit on them and when i tightened them the got hard to turn at the beginning of the bolt and after it goes in a little the bolt turns and the grips holdning the bolt to the scoop moves arround (i think you can understand) what size nut do i need buy so i can bolt it down right now its just sitting on the hood.
