I have read that the ECU will compensate for any modest changes in fuel pressure. That being said, my stock regulator has the FP at 42ish with the vacuum off. If I were to back it off to 38 or so with the vacuum off, would I get any results? I have an AFPR waiting in the wings, but if there is really no need to lower the FP, then Ill just wait on the install. Any advice?

You will only get the extra fuel with a adjustable regualtor at WOT, this is when the O2's drop out...

So if the car is lean in the upper rpms the AFPR can be a good tool, however if the car is lean through out the range a larger injector is needed.
