I have a 600cfm 4v Edelbrock performer. I think too much fuel is being dumped into the intake by the carb. When i'm idling, there is a constant smell of gasoline coming from the exhaust. I dont think its normal. It seems like the carb is dumping too much fuel into the intake.

Can i adjust the carb so it spits out less fuel? Thanks.

Not only the idle mixture screws can be adjusted, I would check to make sure the float is not set too high which could cause this problem as well.

just so mine wouldnt bog, i had to lower the floats
i then had to buy a high flow needle and seats to fix the high end problem that it caused

then again, i have 2.8 gear and a c4

so i would start with the idle mixtures and speed screws
