I have bought their "store brand" in a bind before. It lasted 2 weeks before it started getting notchy and stiff. But it was only a temp as I had ordered a good one.

Think it`s around $39 at Summit.
OEM quality.

If you're referring to the Zoom brand adjustable clutch cable, I've had one. It was a turd, but it didn't break on me for the six months or so that I had it. It kept un-adjusting itself (the locking nut would back itself off and the jam nut actually fell off on its own once), the cable kept gradually stretching out, and the clutch engagement was incredibly weird, stiff, and hard to get used to because the "catch" point was somehow constantly changing. The only nice point of it was that it came with a nice aluminum quadrant ... although, unfortunately, that piece is pretty much useless if you wanna go back to using a stock-style cable and a firewall adjuster.

As far as the OEM-fit cables, I think Advance carries the same Pioneer brand clutch cables that just about everyone else does. I've had mine for over a year and had not a single problem from it. Engages smoothly and consistently, hasn't stretched even a tiny bit yet (had the same adjustment setting on my firewall adjuster since I replaced my clutch last year).

If you've still got the stock plastic quadrant, go ahead and rip that turd outta there and install a UPR triple-hook quad and firewall adjuster while you're fiddling with the clutch cable. Better that then waiting for that nylon quad to go brittle and break one day in traffic and leave you to grind your gears to death just to make it limp home.

My car takes a different clutch cable than the 82+ cars, so I have no choice but to get it from autozone/advance, mine comes with a firewall adjuster because there is no clutch quadrant. I haven't had a problem with mine, its been on my car for 2 years and I just noticed a couple weeks ago that its touching my exhaust, but it still works great. I should probably move it away from my exhaust though lol.
