Advice On A Classic Mustang

Hello all, so I've been thinking on buying a 1965-1967 mustang. I found one but I'm not sure if it's worth it. So I came across this 1965 mustang in some dudes property so I asked and he said he was selling, long story short, it's a 1965 mustang he claims it has been sand blasted and has zero rust. From what I could tell it doesn't have rust. It has a 302 backed by an automatic transmission. He wants 4,500 and he'll throw in a new 302 with zero miles. Only bad part about it is the interior, it's all crap needs too be 're done. My question is, is it worth it? I want to daily it as well

A 65 -66 interior is fairly cheap to go through ,a deluxe interior is a bit more expensive but worth the up grade

A wild guess puts the value of this car in good condition at between 6 and 10 thousand?
Nice thing about a junk interior, you can see the floor pans from both sides, and verify the rust-free condition. If you're doing it yourself, a new interior is going to be somewhere between 1,000 and 2,000 depending on what you buy and where. If a shop were to do it, figure double those numbers.
Daily driver is cool, that's what these cars were designed for 50 years ago.

How bad is this rust is it worth fixing or should I not bother with it

According tho the pics of the underside of this car, it has a complete Fox body floorpan. While the bodywork skills to make this look like a '66 are impressive, it's value is not classic Mustang value. It is custom Mustang value, which is extremely subjective.

To answer your question about rust, what does the inside of the floor look like, and does it feel solid? If you can scrape the rust off with a screwdriver, then I would say it's in decent shape. If the screwdriver goes through the floorpan then, well, it's screwed.
