I'm installing a new ford racing intake manifold(m-9424-p46) this week and I heard I should put something called (tmx black gasket???) in the four corners of the new manifold gasket. On top and on the bottom of the gasket to make sure it doesn't leak. I thought the gasket that goes between the manifold and head should be good enough and didn't need anything else. Any extra advice or tips on this install will help...

2000 mustang gt...just swapping out the old one...I have 130,000 miles on it and it is starting to bubble at the front behind the thermostat. should I buy a new plenium intake gasket when I pick up the spark plugs and other part. I'm going to give it a tune up as well...

you shouldnt need to take the TB and plenum apart to install the intake. just remove them as one unit. this allowed me to not have to replace it...if it is bad, by all means replace it. for me i didnt see the need to replace it so i didnt

changing the spark plugs when doing the swap is a great idea. make sure to read my writeup! (the first link i posted above)
