Aeromotive Fuel Pumps

Redone all of my fuel system thinking about the Aeromotive fuel pumps how long will it last on the street my cusin said he ran one on a carbed big block fox said it only last 90 days

my boss had one that pumped too much fuel and you could hear the pump work hard once it was at idle....like it was working too hard pupming too much (kinda bogged). He took it out and replace it with a smaller one and works fine. He used Areomotive on his 78 Impala both times with no issues except the first pump he went a bit too big.
