Has anyone put TBI fuel injection on an older mustang? Bit pricy over 1000, but I would bet it to be reliable, and fuel efficient.

Im currently piecing together a stock '89 ford multiport setup. Once complete I'll have about $350 into it including intakes, sensors, computer etc. Just gotta find the good deals.

Sorry for being out of the loop, but how are you doing TBI for that budget? Do you mean one of the Holley setups?

I've got a holley 900cfm TBI unit controlled by a megasquirt II ECU. It's a huge improvement over a carb.

Cost and ability to support my HP goals (500-600HP eventually) were the 2 biggest reasons for going this route.

Since your last post in DEC 1999, have you had a chance to get any dyno numbers?
It's not cheap unless you happen to be in a tech school, work in a dyno shop, or have a buddy that has the equipment...

Kinda wondering what your setup makes in the way of HP/TQ...

I haven't added a turbo to my setup yet, because it's still Carbed, and being planned... but I am looking at 3.55 gears and 265/75/15 tires... I will likely want to go supercharger myself, for the extra low end and lack of lag.

Given the lack of recent posts, I hope you still follow these threads, and that you still have your 351w powered ride, and that you can update all of us on the status of your upgrades since the Megasquirt article was written.

Here's to hoping you are still into these things and have not simply moved on with life,
Eric
