As the name says im looking to buy a tuning system myself either tweecer or the pms just wanted to hears some pros and cons for the two.

AFM's PMS vs Tweecer RT??

tweecer has a huge discussion board on tuning where then answer q's, right? not sure if afm has one but that's a pro for tweecer

I love my Tweecer RT. I know nothing of the other one your looking at but the tweecer has afew nice websites to help you tune. The people are very helpfull. No complaints here.
can you set idle speed and everything with tweecer???
fuel,timing, etc...... everything i know tweecer is 300 bucks cheaper than pms but i dont know =(

Yes, you can change pretty much everything that has to do with the EEC. Idle speed is just a few scalars, that's trivial. You can also do timing tables, fuel tables, etc. If you want to see what you can change, go to the TwEECer web site and download the software, and the T4M0 bin for our cars.95YellowGTbeasT said:

Personally I wanted a PMS all along, but I'm glad I waited and got the new 2004 PMS. (http://www.andersonfordmotorsport.com/50-index)
I absolutely love it and the support of Rick Anderson is a huge help. Yes it is a little expensive, but once you get it you'll see what a bargain it really is. Especially if you already have a laptop and opt for the new InterACQ software which is an additional $260 or so but allows further fine tuning as well as datalogging via the PMS. There's really tons of options out there. I've heard good things about F.A.S.T, but I personally liked the whole "plug and play" install of the PMS. Plus it's cheaper so I could afford a wideband o2 so I really can tune the car without having to pay someone else.

I have the older style AFM PMS in my car, and let me tell you. It is the easiest thing to use, and it helped my idle greatly. I played around with it a little, and now I've mastered all its settings. I'm actually gunna be upgrading to the newer version soon. It helped my little issues out alot, and I'll never use any other tuner. "WOW, what a cheesy sales pitch"

I own the older PMS but I've never used the thing. I'm calling Troy (Redsnk95) as soon as my car is ready to go. In reading on www.stangtuning.com it seems much easier to use plus no laptop. I bought my PMS used for what the Tweecer R/T costs so I'm way ahead.
is tweecer not better since it has a datalogging system built in? i also have a laptop and i never use it, its like a 2000 dollar paper weight.

EDIT: just say the new features of pms and im really loving the stand alone thingy and really hoping this is gonna work at. What kind of hp do u think i can gain?

Is a Nissan Xterra better because it has a first aid kit built in? Yeah I know that was stupid but I hate those damn things.
Anyway not neccesarily. If you do some searching around and see what all you can do with the PMS and InterACQ, you will be amazed. Buy what you want of course, but I'm just saying explore all of the possible options. There are tons of aftermarket tuner devices out there. The PMS gets my vote for 3 main reasons. 1. EFI Systems (who makes the PMS) has been around for awhile 2. Anderson Ford Motorsport, specifically Rick, offers extremely good help and support with it, and 3. InterACQ is just amazing.
