Which valve covers are you guys using? How much was the damage getting them? Im just wondering....not like im hinting anything.....

Probably. You will almost certainly have to grind some from the inside of the covers, though. I actually ran into some clearance problems between the rocker studs themselves and the covers, just had to grind down on the ribs inside the covers a little bit.17yrOldStanger said:Hey hairy, im gonna be using 1.6 stud mount from comp cams. Do you think i can reuse the gaskets?
I ground about 1/8 of an inch from the bottom of the EGR valve itself as well as the mounting point on the elbow. Really not all that much, took just a couple minutes, and it does not interfere with the operation of the EGR valve at all.and when you say clearance issues, should i fork over the dough and get the phenolic spacer and egr extender adapter or should i whip out the grinder? how much did you grind and where did you grind?
17yrOldStanger said:if i use the 3/8 phenolic spacer, do any of you think that my egr tube will reach it? also, do you think itll help clear the vc's? im trying to NOT grind anything down bc i am the 1 in 10 that isnt a fan of doing that

My friend with a 95 GT convertible has the TFS kit, which includes the street heat intake, and a 3/8" spacer -- it clears the stock hood (rubs the liner a little, but my Edelbrock does that without a spacer...)Stangfreak95 said:I wnated to put that spacer in the beginning but I WAS TOLD that the intake wouldnt clear my stock hood anymore..![]()

but will my egr tube reach??? and is 3/8 of an inch enough to clear Fox VCs?
SlowGT said:Nice hoodWhat kind is it? How's the fit? How much clearance did you pick up. I've got an R hood to go on, but I don't think it's going to give me enough room.
thanks,
Jared.
