AFR Swap

After 2 weeks of 2-3 hours a day I finally finished my Head swap.... started right up today... and I must say it runs much better....now my combo consists of AFR 165's 58cc, Crane 2040 Cam (e-Cam) , and Cobra Intake... car pulls to 6k like no tomorrow and wants more... Anyone that hasn't swapped heads out I must say do it.... Also I'm running Comp's Pro Magnums under stock valve covers and stock gasket... did the old adjustment started it up and dissasembled the engine really quick and re adjusted them and no rocker noise... so i'm happy... New Times will come in April 21st Test and Tune with Fred Nolen (Nolen Racing)

Congrats! I am in the middle of a head swap myself.Got everything cleaned up will be starting to put back together soon as it warms up a little.

just read it... i'm getting ready sometime this week when its not raining to hook the Wideband up to mine and get my A/F set.... then in may hook it up to a dyno.... till then looks like its going to be sitting in the garage a little longer... I only average 1,500 miles a year anyways.

Why sit in your garage? You just spent all that money on it, go out drive it and enjoy it. I really don't think you have to worry about it being dangerously rich or lean...it'll be fine.

Tell me about your wideband setup. How does it work? How much did it cost?

I bought mine direct from there.... All I did is I took my H-pipe up to my muffler shop and had them weld in the supplied O2 Sensor Bong. After that you just install the O2 sensor and hook it up the handheld... start the handheld up before starting the car let it warm the sensor then start the car and your ready to start tuning... I bought it do to the fact it is much cheaper than going to a dyno session trying to tune the car there... I know i'm not running lean but I like to have it setup and tuned right before i start getting on it... plus its been snowing and raining here so until it stops it sits... once the sun comes out and were in the 60's i'll get it out for a few days... my car is more a track car than driver....

$350!!! Man...I think I'll pass on that. BTW...I have longtubes and there's no way I'm pulling those out to get a bung put on them for that WB.

If it works for you though...that's cool.

In the last 18 months, I've put about 2500 miles on my car...I would say it sees most of its action by going to the track, but it is and always will be a street car as that's where it sees most of its miles.

350 compared to 3 pulls for 80 bucks it was well worth it... you don't have to put it in the Headers... stick it in the H-pipe... Anyone know how the other guy is coming along on his car... red95fiveo or something like that...
