I currently have BFG Comp T/A 295/35/ZR18 on the rear. They have about 14,000 miles on them. Should I updgrade them to a set of Nittos?B C said:Sticky tires. No, make that sticky, sticky tires.
My Stang is an original Roush Stage II and it came with the Roush V-8 suspension system (front and rear springs, struts, shocks, rear lower control arms, frame connectors, sway bars, etc.) which I think can handle my new found power...am I correct? Or will you suggest any suspension upgrade?NasaGT said:I would go with suspension mods. You'll have crazy power, now you need to get it to the ground. Sticky tires is the easy mod, but there's alot of suspension work that'll make a huge impact.
Thanks for the advice, but how exactly I can "beef up" my bottom end? I'm a newbe when it comes to engine internals.c2see21 said:first sticky tires for sure & next a beefed up bottom end i've driven my neighbors s/c cobra a few times (he has 410 rwhp & a equal amount of tq) & when he has the regular tires on it, instead of his e.t. streets, it's completely worthless but when the e.t's go on it's fun time.
WOW!scheister said:Honestly, plan on about $6-7000 for the bottom end and cams installed.
$7K, plus the $5K I just spent on the KB S/C Kit is $12K!!!! I guess I just got stung by the horsepower bug. This is like a drug...knowing I will soon have 400+rwhp with my new KB Kit makes me want even more Hp. I posted in this forum a while back about how "non-sense" is to spend $10K+ on a 2v engine to make 500+rwhp when you can get a brand new 03 Cobra (with $0 down payment) with a potential of making 600+rwhp with a KB kit...and look at me now
...I'm considering myself spending $12K on my 2v engine....
i just finished spending 12 grand on my 2vel_kid_1 said:WOW!$7K, plus the $5K I just spent on the KB S/C Kit is $12K!!!! I guess I just got stung by the horsepower bug. You should've gone with the 6lb then. Gives you more power than any other bolt ons, and safer than the 9lb.el_kid_1 said:WOW!$7K, plus the $5K I just spent on the KB S/C Kit is $12K!!!! I guess I will follow your steps.scheister said:I thought about buying a Cobra too....I guess I didn't just because I am almost done paying off my car, and I didn't want to start making payments AGIAN. The way I figure it, it just makes more sense to stick with one car and mod the hell out of it!
