Hey my PIP went south...but upon inspection i realized my ebay distributor was kinda rusty inside and the crappiest looking piece on my motor. With that said is there anyone that makes a good quality piece that wont cost me a ton of money?

A speed shop once told me that they had to rebuild the MSD piece and msd gave them ford part numbers. They told me that the MSD is basically a fancy housing with OEM guts. Any ideas???

Also i bought a PIP but it looks like i would have to disassemble the distributor (remove shaft) to install this thing. Not sure if theres a "how to" but i would really like something shiny and billet not dull and cast.

I have a factory dizzy for a 96 351W F-150 sitting in my garage. I ran it on my car for about 500 miles. Thought my MSD was going bad, but that wasn't the problem. PM me if you're interested.

I went to the parts store. It seems theres 2 Different types of Distributor PIP part numbers. One for the GT & GTS and one for the Cobra & 351. Anyone know if there is a physical difference?

UPDATE

Ok i changed the PIP.....It was nasty inside the distributor. All kinds of dirt and crud. (Distributor was from a truck and i got it on EBAY)

I cleaned it out.....Wire wheeled the outside to look nice. Then i changed the Cap and Rotor with a MSD. Surprisingly the 10mm coil wire fit on the cap.

So far ran a few errands today and no random stalling. So i think im good now.

On a Side note i noticed the Brass contacts inside of the cap are nearly twice the size of the stock replacement or the Accel piece. Is it worth the extra $$$ I say yeah but prob. only because only like the cap design. Yeah i know the MSD logo is upside down....but theres no clearance to route the Coil wire next to the intake.

And now Pics....
