Hello guys. Can anybody tell me if there is an aftermarket automatic shifter, such as B&M, Hurst, etc. which will fit in the console of my '87 GT? I don't want to modify the console. Thanks.

B&M Hammer shifter fits perfectly. Just sold mine for $100.00, they go for $200.00 retail. I beleive I saw a guy in the classifieds also selling his for $100.00. Dont know how to post a pic but email me and I'll send you some.

90notchback: Off topic for a min, but do you get much air flow thru those smaller vents on the gauge cage? I have been thinking about getting one, but the S TX summers require good AC.

Now back to your regularlly scheduled programming

The B&M hammer fits perfectly without modifications, and has an awsome action. Coolest thing I've ever seen on an AOD Mustang. Friend of mine has one for sale too, I believe.

Go with the B&M Hammer shifter.... not too expensive, looks good, and works good. GO ahead and throw a shift kit in while you are at it
