Aftermarket deck install

For a 97 gt I know the wiring harness I need, http://www.crutchfield.com/S-kjV1hHAyiOx/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=103000&I=120705002
but do I need a dash kit so the deck fits in place of the stock one, or does it just fit? I don't have the car yet but hopefully within the next week. So it that all I need to connect my deck to the stock speakers. I assume the mustang doesn't have a factory amp like my taurus did. Thanks

i bought an alpine unit and it fit like a glove, 90% of headunits are all the same size. it doesn't wobble or anything. the mustang (the non-mach460) has an amp boted to the floor behind the shifter, but it dosen't connect to the wires when you hook up the harness.
