I have my magnaflow X pipe, but might be looking to sell it to get a deeper sounding H pipe. What are some good H pipes out there (other than the MAC prochamber, which i hear is BOTH an H and X pipe)??

So what is the BEST H-pipe to go with in terms of power, and what produces the loudest/deepest sound? I have my SLP Loudmouths so i really want a deeper sound to go with them. I like my X, but it is a bit "raspy" and would like it to be deeper more aggressive.

Let me know what you guys think. I dont really see many H pipes on stangnet here, and the ones that are, are the prochamber.

EDIT:
- What are the laws reguarding Catallytic Converters in New Jersey. I know you need them to pass inspection, but if you are caught (somehow) with out cats on your car, is there a fine or penalty? Or just a slap on the wrists? I am thinking of buying a MAC off-road H-pipe for daily use, and using my Magnaflow X for inspection. Anyone know anything about this ?

I would have gone witht the MRT stainless H-pipe. It is the only stainless H-pipe I do belive.

I just went to get you a link and the price has jumped about $100 though.

http://mrt-direct.com/mustangracing/hpipe.php

I would see if you can get this cheaper.

I looked at this but the vrs x-pipe was $50 cheaper so I went with it.

the prochamper is neither an X or a H. It is just was it says instead of a crossover there is champer built into thepipe. I am not a fan put some swear by it.

Thanks for the link. But WOW $500+ they must think that thing is made of gold, not stainless steel. I wont replace my Magnaflow X pipe for an H pipe, unless its around the $250 range. Which is why i'm thinking about an Off-road H pipe now.

Anyone have any other H-pipes?

yeah that price is retarded.

tons of h-pipes out there

BBk
mac (the make and h-pipe as well)
flowtech

I think there are more

I know there are quite a few out there. they are just all alumized so I never looked at them.

To me most times you hope to get what you pay for and I've got it with the MRT H. What a great mid-pipe and combined with the Borla Stingers it's one hell of a combination!:)

If your X-pipe is catted you should be able to make up the difference of the cost of the new catted MRT H-pipe and what you sell yours for. :D

My Sons GT has the Magnaflow catted X-pipe and SLPs which is a good sound but not as deep as what I have heard when using a catted H-pipe.

UDTbadkarma...IF and when you sell the Magna X..PM me..

I sent ya a PM 2000SilverBulit

TO EVERYBODY ELSE:
Also, my friend (with the 560rwhp GT) had a BBK H-pipe and said it hangs really low. So low that he punctured it on road debris coming off an off-ramp on the highway (his car was lowered at the time). And now had to replace it. I dont remember what he has now, i'll have to ask him. But i think he has a complete custom exhaust set-up now.

So does anyone know about Jersey "cattalytic converter" laws? (read my 1st post)

EDIT: And which is better...HTS-coated pipes or Dura-Black coated exhaust pipes??? I would prefer a nice stainless steel cat-back. But its no biggie.
