I understand that the EEC has fuel and timing tables from the factory. I want to add a new ignition system. Most probably the Mallory multi spark unit. If I use the stock pulses off the distributor to fire this unit, it will no longer be using the stock rev limiter or even the ability to retard or advance the timing. Correct? The old ignition module will be out of the picture. I hate the retard on the timing at the shifts on the AODE. It should eliminate this. Correct?
