From what I've heard, the stock ignition is not all that bad. Right now I have mild h/i/c setup with completely stock ignition and all seems well. However, I'm looking into getting a Novi1000 in the future and am curious as to whether the stock ignition will cut it or not.

Which is the best ignition system? MSD? I also want to run a blaster coil and a better distributor. Is it worth it?

NA the stocker is good for 350-400 HP. Some folks note improved idle with the multiple discharge boxes. Once you do the blower, I would get a box.

Crane would be my choice but I am not sure they have all the add-ons that are nice for forced induction (BTM's, etc).

Good luck.

I added just a Crane coil to my car and that seemed to take care of my rough idle problems I experienced when I first bought the convertible almost 1 year ago. I prefer the crane brand over MSD becuase I haven't had problems with them in the past (personal preference of course)

Save your $$$ until you purchase the blower and then spring for a new igniton box.

When I did my blower I put on a crane box and coil. I look at it like good insurance.
