Ok, first off I have the Summit seats, not stockers.

My driver side seat track (electric) broke week or so ago. I got an electric seat track out of an '01 Mustang, and once I get it home I see it wont work with my Summit seats.

The bolt holes on the summit seats are further in than the stock seats. The electric tracks in our cars have a long aluminum rail that goes the whole length of the seat. Thats what the stockers bolt to. I was able to just drill new holes in that.

But the newer electric seat tracks dont have the rail. They just have four brackets that pivot front and back where the stock seat bolts to. So my seats will not work on that.

Now I need some after market tracks. I dont want some crap, because Im tired of having tracks break on me. They were broken when I got the car and I had to weld them back. I guess one weld was just weak, and once it broke it put too much strain on the other and then it broke.

Ok, so what I need is some that will go back pretty far cause Im about 6' and have long legs. And I want something low. The Summit seats are a good 3 inches higher than the stockers, and right now I have the passenger seat on the drivers side. It is on some manual stock tracks, and my head touches the ceiling. It ****ing sucks.

So who makes good seat tracks that I can make fit?

I have Corbeau seats and the whole track system. The seat is a good 2 inches lower than stock and I have no electrical stuff connected at all (I'm 6'5", so my seat is and always will be in the furthest back position).

The Corbeau seat track system (and I'm sure most other aftermarket stuff) was way stronger than the stock crap. My stock track broke too, but that literally cannot happen with the Corbeau design. The basic slider (non-electric) setup is probably the best by most companies.

If I were to get Summit seats, I'd take one of my seats off and measure the width between the holes (right to left) and see if the Summit seats measured the same width. Holes can always be drilled, but you gotta be on the same width (as you found out).

If you know a stanger near you with Corbeau seats (or any other aftermarket track), do the measurement. I'll try to get the measurement of mine on here sometime tomorrow.

On a side note, my Corbeau seat tracks absolutely fit perfectly. Probably the best fitting mod I've done aside from the K&N filter. :)

Just did a quick check, but not sure I can get a decent measurement without removing the seat completely. One drawback to being so big......

I checked Corbeau's site and they got a over a hundred custom tracks.

Gotta be at a wedding tomorrow all day, so I'll check again when I get back.

i had the same problem with my track breaking to. both the feet in the back broke so i had to have them welded back together. now my electric track doesnt work. can i just use the passenger side manual seat track on the driver side.
