I want to sit lower in my car. I think the seats in my 95 are too tall (in terms of the height of the seat). Even with the seat lowered all the way (power seats), I'm still not as low as I'd like to be. I prefer to drive with the wheel in the lowest tilt position, and with it there and my seat as far down as it goes, the wheel is in my lap.
Are there good aftermarket seats that will fit that won't cost me an arm and leg?

What seats should I look for on ebay?
For that matter, are there previous years' seats that will sit lower on the same tracks?
The 92,93 seats use the same power seat setup, IIRC. Are they any shorter?

And, I'm gonna be a PITA and say:
"I'm looking for a normal, comfortable, seat that reclines"
Nothing that looks like I stole from a ricer ... Nothing that doesn't allow at least close to the range of motion of the stock seats.

any more ideas?

Instead of ebay seats where the quality may be questionable at best, I'd go with a pair from Summit.. theyve got some $200 (each) racing seats that look pretty good, tan, grey, and black, id find a link but im too lazy =\

I vote jegs, my seats are power however so i have the up/down option. I would probably reupholster mine before getting new seats, i think the factory seats are quite nice.

ah never seen those jegs before
and being a gts i dont have any power anything so aftermarket's without power wouldnt be a big deal, those corbeau's look real nice, just a bit pricey and i doubt that grey would match my interior

I have the Corbeau CR1 seats. I bought them off of eBay real cheap with tears all over the place. Then I got new covers from Corbeau and recovered them myself. My only problem is that they're so comfortable that I might fall asleep while I'm driving. Here's a pic...

Those jeg's seats do look nice. How much lower will they be than the standard seats, after I hook up the power tracks?

How well did the grey match your factory grey?
