Ok here's the problem. My battery died over the weekend so i charged it up and flashed the ECU back with my SCT XCalibrator programmer. Now my Air Bag light blinks a few times after start-up and then stays on constatly while driving. What could this be? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not certain if the airbag system and codes are the same for the 96+ cars as they were for 94-95, but this should get you off to a good start: link

I hate it when newbs don't post what cars they have or other details. I fixed an air-bag problem the other day that had a cable problem under the drivers seat.

Ford Probe FAQ - Service Excerpts (Airbag Fault Codes)

Count the blinks and pauses to get your number.

Sorry about that guy. I'm not used to posting properly, i guess. I don't have time to waste talking all fancy online. I work for a living. Check this out- The guy above you helped me out with no problems and without being a smart-ass, go figure.

I have to agree with GDawg. He may have said it too bluntly but how much time would it have taken to list the make, model, and year? Sometimes, this could make a huge difference.

Supposed you called a doctor complaining about cramps and the doctor gave you Midol? When pressed, the doctor said "you didn't tell me you were a guy!”

The guys who spend their time trying to help out others need some love from time to time. :grouphug: Remember, the information provided saved time thus allowing faster return to working for a living.

A better response would have been, "Thanks for the help. You are right. Will do better next time".
