I just noticed my airbag light blinks a couple of times and then turns on, it does it every time i start the car. What can i do to fix it? Or can it be something that happened while it was at the paint job like when they switched bumpers and shock observer?

Use the light to determine what code it is throwing. Count the blinks. For an example, I'll use "code 61". It would flash 6 times, pause, then flash 1 time. There is a LONG PAUSE between different codes ..... or if you only have one code ...... it will flash that one again. Let us know what code it is .... or check this page out to diagnose the problem, fix it, & clear the code .... http://www.veryuseful.com/mustang/tech/airBag/

Nicely done Justin and Guero. :nice:

For future reference, Chris (Cman) has posted nice (huge) pics of the jumper you use under the glove box, to reset the codes.

Oh yeah .... I forgot to mention that about clearing the codes (the how to). Good job JT. I actually had a problem a while back that threw a code for airbag diagnostic monitor or some crap. I found the monitor (behind dash) and checked everyhting out. Nothing was wrong. So I just cleared the code using Chris' method ....... and the code went away never to be seen again!

BTW ... Guero, if you still have to clear a code, it is easy. You just use a jumper wire in the connector under the glove box. Find the write-up that JT is referring to, to find the exact how-to.
