air filter - anyone use one of these?

i just got one from the wife for Christmas. I did some research and found that a water filter and vacuum filter are 200 micron as well but still feel weird about using it. Anyone have any insite?

Does that filter just drop into the factory housing likea paper element or does it require modification?

Its a bolt on to the pro-m 80mm air meter
