air pump delete ?

i am in the process of cleaning up the engine bay and want to deleat the air pump.i want to just get a shorter belt does any one know what lenth belt i will need?i have underdrive pully's and the ford racing a/c delete kit that moves the power steering pump?

not sure what size but i had a similar prob i just took string and routed it around the pulleys and tied it in a knot like a belt carry that to a good autoparts store and they can measure it for you, i had to make two trips but i got a belt that fits great,, good luck

Get a peice of string and wrap it around the pulleys. Tie a knot in it so the string is tight and then cut it away from the knot. Measure length of string. Take measurement to parts store and buy 3 belts. One belt that is the length you measured and then one the next size bigger and the next size smaller.

When you are done, take the 2 belts back that you didn't use.

Im using napa part# 060721 on mine but dont have the underdrive alt pulley on just the water pump and crank . No smog pump and same ps bracket . If its to long go a size smaller .

if ur taking off ur air pump, make sure u have an exhaust with no cats, because if u dont, the cats will be destroyed
