Air Silencer

Only noticable result when I did it was that the engine seemed to rev easier. I've since put it back on, as I like low-end trq better than high-end hp.
me too...I have a way to get the best of both worlds. keep the silencer but cut it back a little bit. then with a rear brake duct off a BMW M3 (this part helps if you know a BMW tech who can get 1 for you) I put it in the front of the bumper and hooked up a dryer tube up the fender and to the silencer.
You keep the low-end tq and when you get to high rpms youre going fast enough so that you get a ram-air effect to also keep the high end hp. Dont think this is a 25hp mod....you just feel the same tq as with the silencer and the same high end gain as without it. i was bored one day and thats what i came up with

This is by far the most re-hashed topic on Stangnet. If you gotta few days to spare, do a search and start reading ... and reading ... and reading ...
I get sleepy just thinking about this topic.... haha

How many of you that say "I dont notice a diffrence" have exhaust work ?

My car is bone stock and speacialy a WOT the car sounds alot more aggresive then it did a few days ago prior to taking out the snorkel. I had someone ride with me tonight and without me mentioning anything, they pointed it out.

Yea I just added a K&N filter and removed the silencer and man it changed the exhaust note at WOT as well as a noticable gain again at WOT.It sounds deeper and more aggressive...I like it and am keeping the silencer OFF...besides it saves a little weight.
