Airaid or C & L or other CAI? 2011 5.0

I have been to the websites of some of the major competitors in the CAI business.

So far, I have seen

Steeda.
Airaid
C & L

C & L Pro's:
Looks to be K & N filter
Actual test data to substantiate claims
Interchangeable piece to allow for tuned/untuned cars

Cons:

Doesn't use factory piping induction like other systems
Most expensive

Steeda Pro's:
Looks to be top quality.
Uses factory piping style

Cons:
Bigger bend in pipe then other systems.
All their testing included a tune. (Does it have removable insert like others?)
Air filter doesn't seem to be a K & N like most other companies use (their own logo)
Average Pricing

Airaid:
Uses factory piping style
Looks to be K & N filter (possibly not)
Lowest pricing
Interchangeable piece to allow for tuned/untuned cars

Cons:
Doesn't look as high quality as steeda setup.

Anyone have any other CAI they would like to add to the mix or add anymore pro's/con's based on your knowledge?

For my money, it's STEEDA.. They are tried and proven. Their data is with tune because the flow is so great that it can NOT be used without a tune. There is no insert, if that's an issue. IDK why you would spend the money it costs for 10-12 HP, when for the same amt of money more, you get another 25-30 (with the tune). Keep in mind that tuning also helps with Throttle respons and in my case, AUTO shifting. I would put my money on just about ANYTHING that Steeda does.

Lets be fair here. They can't be used without a tune because of the physical size difference between stock and the steeda, not the "Flow".

Btw, there are 3 different reputable shops that have done the tune and steeda cai and are seeing closer to the 11-15 rwhp range from the cai alone. That's still great. But, the cai seems to me basically in line with everyone elses.

Well, the "size difference" is why the flow is better. I just skipped a step. The END result is greater flow..the whole MAF has to be adjusted via tune. All Im saying is how much money are you saving (if any) from a CAI from a less established company that you hver know if it goes out of business I guess me being so close to Steeda physically, I see a lot of their "stuff" on the roads. I know for sure the support and assistance you get will be awesome. Im more stating why I think Steeda is great, not dissing the other companies.

I agree...this one is MUCH better than C/L, Steeda and the others COMBINED!

Well I've always liked the asian escort headers as they are generally short tubes vs longs.

Especially when buying used. Almost impossible to find a pair of headers that aren't longtubes if they are used quite a bit
