I took my car in today to a body shop because I had a smashed in door, all I had them do was take the old door off and replace it with another one. When I took it in it was fine. When I picked it up I had the AIRBAG indicator light on and my radio and clock wouldn't work and neither would my door lock remote. First thing I did was look for a fuse and I found a blown one and replaced it and everything was fixed except the AIRBAG light. I have never had it come on before, seems kinda odd that it along with the blown fuse for all of the above stuff happened when they put a door on. Its flashing a 52 AIRBAG code. I asked the guy at the shop about it and he said that they didn't mess with anything that should have caused it. I know they shouldn't have but surely all of this is not just a coincidence. Any ideas about what it could be?, I'd really appreciate any help.

Seems to me that code 52 occurs when the battery was disco'd.

But it stays on all the time, and I have disconnected the battery many times before and never had this code before. Do you have any suggestions as to how I could get it to go off?

Ok it seems that with airbag codes the light will stay on even if it is an intermittant or repaired problem, the light will only go off if you physically clear the code. Now the only problem I have is how do I clear airbag codes?

Yep - use the connector under the glovebox to clear the code.

Here is some info on doing that. And CHris (Cman) has posted a pic of the grey connector under the left side of the glove box that you use. Here is Chris's picture.

Good luck.
