Hey fellas, so i have 2001 musang gt and i recently did a heater core job (took about 10 HOURS) pita SCALE 9, when i was done i put everything back together, i remmber disconnecting 4 harness ( wrote down all placement in a notebook) lol , 3 of which were behind the passenger kick panel and the fourth was behind the glove box. with that being said , i turned my car on and my AIRBAG light is staying on; flashes a few times but stays permanetly on. Any ideas on what the issue is or how to reset light???? thanks for all the help

There is a clock spring in your steering wheel. If it gets effed up it will cause the airbag light to go on and stay on until it is fixed. I also think that this will cause your horn to not work so go out and check to see if your horn blows. If it doesn't then I'd bet the clock spring is messed up. They are dealer only items but they only cost about $80 or so. I also believe there is a sensor on the front of the car somewhere in the bumper that triggers the airbag. If that sensor is malfunctioning then I'm pretty sure that it will trigger the airbag warning light. That could be the problem if it isn't the clock spring.

BTW, don't forget to check your fuses...it may be a simple fuse...

hmm, you might have to go to the dealer and get the code read. I have heard that the airbag system has it's own codes so look into that at the dealer. Get it done as soon as possible because the airbag system might not be working at all and that could be dangerous...
