hey i'm gone try to install alarm on 2000 mustang gt i need little help with the door lock because i always have problems gonecting them any help will be appriciated ,thank you

If this is your first install and you know a little bit about electronics, don't try it. As for the doors, use this information to determine what type of door locks you have: http://www.the12volt.com/doorlocks/doorlocks.asp

I do know that we have either a 3 wire negative or a 3 wire positive. I'll leave that up to you to find out.

A 3 wire negative will see ground during lock/unlock, but + 12V DC at rest.
A 3 wire positive will see + 12V DC during lock/unlock, but ground at rest.

that site that topless posted is very useful. I used it a couple months ago when I put in my alarm. I think our locks are positive. You will need two releys for the locks. Get a Haynes maunal for your car if you don't have one it has all the wiring diagrams.

If I remember correctly, the installer of mine didn't need to use any relays for my door locks. :shrug:
