Alarm Issues, Need input.

Alright so I had to break into my 98 GT and in doing so I noticed that the alarm didn't go off when I successfully broke into my car. So, then I tested the alarm again. The keyless entry works fine, the horn honks when I lock it and the panic button also works. However, when I lock the car and then open it from the inside the alarm doesn't sound and the PATS system doesn't work (car starts right up). Anyone know what could be wrong? Thanks

Is it a factory alarm? I wasn't aware mustangs had an available factory alarm. Just the keyless entry

they do. in my 97 if you lock it and then reach in and unlock manually by opening door from inside horn honks constantly also car will not start unless you have the correct key

I don't really understand why the keyless entry would have a panic button but the car not have an alarm ...I bought the car used so I don't know all the options on the car but as far as I know it's loaded. It has every option available for 98 as far as I am aware. (Feel free to move this to tech, I didn't mean to post it in talk)

Im having alarm problems yesterday i locked my mustang with the keyless remote this morning it wouldnt unlock it i unlocked the car with key but my alarm wont stop going off and the car wont start
