Alignment done, but still have issues. Need help.

I did a 5 lug conversion on my 86 using SN95 parts. After I did the conversion, I had a ton of toe in. So I took it to get it aligned and the guy that did it took care of the toe in, but he said he could not adjust the camber. He said that at this point the tires are not going to wear unevenly, but it still pulls to the left. So when I drive, the steering wheel is to the left a bit and if I take my hand off of the wheel, it still wants to pull left. He said that he cannot adjust that and he did what he could to align the front end. Would caster camber plates fix this problem? If so, which kind should I get and which kinds are best.

They will probably help a great deal. Try this though. If you don't have directional tires on the car, swap the fronts side to side and see if the pull/drift goes to the other side. If it does, you have a tire problem and not so much an alignment problem.

I agree with PRO50SC 100%, make sure the tire is not causing the pull.

Do you have the alignment specs, if so can you post the numbers?

If you are just a little out of spec with the camber you can have the toe adjusted to comp for the wear. Meaning if you are on the neg side of the camber spec you would want to be on the pos side of the toe spec..

BTW, usually your steering wheel will be off slightly in the opposite direction of the pull. It would seem to me that the wheel is going to be more off left if the car did not pull at all...

i just did this last weekend.i thought only my toe would be out.my camber was way off also.car was perfectly aligned a month ago.he easily got my camber adjusted properly,but i have caster camber plates also.i have upr with sperical bearing they have worked great and price is right.

In alignments, camber being a little out won't really cause a pull, a pull would be a bad tire, incorrect toe, or most likely caster. Get the plates and take it to a shop that has a modern alignment rack.
