I have to remove everything off the front end of my 66 Coupe before I patch and prime. Was originally an I6 and I will be doing a Shelby drop and converting to 5 lug Disc, My question is do I need to bother with keeping track offthe alignment shims? I'm sure the shock towers have sagged a bunch (FYI I have replaced floor, toe boards, both cowl vents) and expect to to brace the top of the engine bay .
So I don't sound like an idiot who bought a piece of junk, this car was my Dads (original owner) who died of cancer last year, and it's a labor of love.
Thanks,
Fred

You want to use approx 1/2 as many shims after the Shelby drop. That usually gets the alignment close enough to drive to the alignment shop.

agreed. you need to at least get the alignment close for the drive to the alignment shop, unless you have the tools to do an alignment yourself, like i do
